About Molina

I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.  I received a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Houston in 1998, and have lived in Austin since 1999.  I have experience providing behavioral health services since 1994 in a variety of settings, including substance dependence treatment, community mental health, anxiety disorder treatment, employee and manager assistance, case management, university counseling, supervisory, and private practice.  I have a strengths-based approach to my therapy practice.  This means I believe you have unique life experiences, values, and knowledge that will help you make the changes desired.  While staying aware of your emotional concerns, I also consider any physical, mental, spiritual, social, and family influences on your current situation.  My practice is also client-directed, which means that I genuinely care about what you want from counseling, and what you believe my role should be in helping you toward your goals.  I seek your feedback about the progress of each session so that we can have a collaborative therapeutic relationship.  I have successfully helped hundreds of clients obtain what they were seeking through counseling.  I will do my best to ensure that you feel heard by me, and that our sessions help you discover your wisdom to achieve wellness.
